Online Features for Unemployed Workers

To access our system online, you must first register to obtain a User name and PIN. Once you are registered, you will be able to access all of our online features. If you previously used a PIN to access your unemployment benefit information through our automated telephone system, you can use that same PIN to access the online features. Your username will be your social security number. To register or log on, click the appropriate button below.

If all your employment in the past 18 months was in one state and that state is not Ohio, you cannot file using this online application. Click here for more information.

File a New Claim - What to Expect

The online initial application takes about 25 minutes. You will need to file a new claim if you have not applied for unemployment benefits at any time in the past 12 months. Your application is not filed until you receive a confirmation number. If you are disconnected, use your username and PIN to log back on and resume the application process. CAUTION: From the time you begin a new application online, you have 24 hours to complete it. After this time period, all information you previously entered will be deleted and you will have to start from the beginning. Keep this deadline in mind if you are disconnected, or if you choose to sign off and sign on again at a later time.
